Bloomberg, in 2008, blamed ending ’redlining’ for 2008 financial crisis

As per reports, at the height of the 2008 economic collapse, Michael Bloomberg said the elimination of a discriminatory housing practice known as ’redlining’ was responsible for triggering the meltdown. The term ’redlining’ comes from ’red lines’ to denote areas deemed ineligible for credit, frequently based on race. A campaign spokesman said that Bloomberg ’attacked predatory lending’.
