Slavery not a crime in nearly half of world’s countries, study finds

According to the Antislavery in Domestic Legislation database, slavery is not a crime in almost half the countries (94) in the world. ’There are no criminal laws in place to prosecute, convict and punish people for subjecting people to the most extreme forms of exploitation’, said a researcher at the University of Nottingham’s Rights Lab. More than 40 million people are held in modern slavery.

Don't bother the UN Human Rights Council with small tidbits like this, they have the worst offenders as members, preoccupied with important things: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Human_Rights_Council#Criticism

Anybody able to find a link to the database? I'm curious about which countries don't outlaw slavery.

Please note that 94 countries do not have LAWS regarding slavery, that doesn't mean that on all those countries slavery exists. The legal system is different on different countries, not all of them define everything on writen laws.
