DOJ arrests Ohio man for laundering $300M in crypto on the dark web

Department of Justice arrested an Ohio man Thursday accusing him of running an unlawful money laundering outfit on the Dark Web. Larry Harmon, 36, allegedly operated an illegal business called Helix, and ran a money transference venture without licensing. Harmon attracted users by touting the ability to hide fund transfers from the government’s eyes and also operated a Dark Web search tool, Grams.
