The Department of Justice announced that it is dropping its investigation into major automakers that sided with the state of California on emission standards, over the Trump administration. The probe focused on BMW, Ford, Volkswagen and Honda, and was announced in September.

Oh, this is dropping the anti-trust probe that was started because the car makers were going along with California's increased regulatory burden, something that disproportionately affects smaller companies. Why did they drop the anti-trust probe? Is it a state jurisdiction issue?
