Bloomberg criticized by Warren for blaming financial crisis on end of redlining

Michael Bloomberg, U.S. Democratic presidential candidate and former Republican mayor of New York City was slammed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren over his recently resurfaced comments saying that the financial crisis was caused because a discriminatory policy called ’redlining’ was ended. Mr. Bloomberg made these comments in 2008. He was also criticized for comments on stop-and-frisk made in 2015.

Very disheartening that the Democrats aren't calling out Bloomberg for racial stereotyping that damaged thousands of his constituents lives. Stop and frisk comments would end his campaign if they really cared.

Subprime and redlining are two very different practices and both are equally stupid. Subprime is what killed the economy and it was public policy that led to private lenders engaging in it. Let's not kid ourselves: NOBODY lends money to someone they think can't pay it back and has no collateral. Banks didn't lend money to poor minorities because they grew a conscience. Ugh... Bloomberg and Warren are both idiots.
