Canada feds bust couple involved in overseas telephone scam

Federal authorities in Canada have arrested a Toronto based couple accused of being accomplices to a global scam involving overseas call centres. Gurinder Dhaliwal and Inderpreet Dhaliwal both of Brampton, Ontario, were arrested and charged on Wednesday. Each of them face one count of fraud over $5,000, one count of laundering the proceeds of crime and one count of property obtained by crime.

Finally. Those calls were coming every few minutes for a while there. Flimsy immigration laws allowed these fraudsters into the country, and enables them to siphon $16 million out of our economy. Great job, Justin.

They should serve some time behind bars. Only $5000 for the fine makes the crime worth it! They made way more than that. They should be jailed for 5 years for preying on new immigrants and the old!
