The town of North Bend, Ohio conducts an annual parade in honor of William Henry Harrison, a former President of the United States who died just 31 days into the presidency. The parade is conducted around his 9th of February birthday every year.
I drove an hour to the office only to arrive and discover that I was the only one there. Company gives us the day off, apparently. Drove another hour back home.
I can't think of a better example of democracy in action than our current situation. The People, having grown tired of politically correct and pampering language from thier leaders, elected an incendiary president to burn down the deadwood built up the thicket of our government--ashes from all this torched underbrush enrich the soil for the next generation to take seed, while leaving all the healthy institutions still standing, free from clutter and decay.
Joo, I agree with your statement. However, we are not a democracy. We are and always be a Constitutional Republic.
