Climate group ruins university lawn to protest ’destruction of nature’

Climate activists Extinction Rebellion dug up a lawn outside a Cambridge University college in a protest over its role in a major development in the Suffolk countryside. A 19-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage. The activists involved said digging up the lawn was meant to protest ’the destruction of nature’.

I will promote protest. I will not, however, condone protests that threaten lives or destroy property.
