Saudi foreign Minister denies crown prince involvement in Khashoggi killing

In an interview with Deutsche Welle, Saudi Minister of State Adel al-Jubeir denied the involvement of top Saudi officials in the 2018 killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, saying, ’We don’t have a history of murdering our citizens.’ In the same interview, al-Jubeir defended Saudi Arabia’s human rights record, saying that those critical of it ’need to be more educated.’

Honestly, not surprising at all: frankly, it would be way more surprising if he said, "Yeah, we killed him, what are you going to do about it?" because then things would be done about it. Guy has a job. It's defending a terrible regime, but it's his job. Frankly, I'm a little disappointed this counts as news.

"We asked the prince, 'Did you order Kashoggi's killing?' and he said 'no!'. What more proof do you need? Case closed!!"
