Under its new rules, perceived racism or sexism have been added to physically violent or threatening conduct as acceptable grounds for NHS healthcare providers to refuse medical treatment to patients, except in emergency cases.

Left: Healthcare is a basic human right Also the Left: People who disagree with us do not have the right to healthcare access.

So if I identify as racist do I not need to pay the national health service taxes

My god the UK just keeps getting worse.

This is bad but if you read the articles it's more about harassment. Basically don't insult people who are providing you with healthcare services. Thay being said this sort of policy should be monitored closely to make sure it isn't abused.

Prosperous! withholding care over subjective nonsense. I understand if there is abuse of the staff but people are still entitled to care. They do pay taxes after all. It would s a failure of character to refuse service because you find someone's views repugnant.

And no doubt this will be the “new” definition of racist that only goes one way as black and brown people can’t be real it’s to whites. Same with sexism, only goes one way of course.

Remember when we couldn’t have religious freedom bills because the left was terrified that an ambulance would refuse to pick up a gay person?

The thing is certain medical conditions can cause people to act out in a way that is crude, to the point of being racist or sexist. My question is will this rule be followed in mental health wards and if so how long until you have to either toss the rule or close the ward down as a den of racism and sexism.

this legalizes manslaughter toward those holding particular ideologies. this goes way past anything Orwell imagined. i honestly cannot believe we've reached this point. it's like the left is turning our world into a giant insane asylum. when do we fight back?

Holy hell these comments are toxic. Just treat people well, and balance this out with proper accountability when the rule is abused. If you’re angry about this it says more about your personal issues than this policy.

Imagine being allowed to refuse service because you think a person is beneath human rights... I believe we call that Jim Crow. Liberals: you're doing it wrong!

Racism and sexism towards THEM, the healthcare providers. Not in general. As a nurse, I can appreciate this. There have been so many times when I had to put up with being verbally and physically abused by patients, and there wasn't anything I could do about it. It was horrible. I'm glad the hcp there are allowed to walk away from that kind of treatment. I support this.

As someone who worked in a hospital with elderly patients, I would have empty wards if this was implace in my workplace. Dementia has a habit of removing fliters and you hear some hair Curling stuff. while I agree don't abuse your health care workers, it is a tough enough job. I can only see this backfiring really bad, when someone overeaches. *not on the patents.

I can not see any way that this can be abused.

There is a big difference between getting spit at, swore at and kicked by a 90 year old with dementia and encephalopathy vs someone who is well aware of what they are saying or doing...

My partner was delayed treatment in ER because the nurse mistook her for another woman that was a hypochondriac. What happens if they mistake you for that racist the other day?

these kinds of policies are possible because leftist media colludes with leftist policy makers to hide what they're doing from the public, who would otherwise become aware of insanity of the left.

abusive language is unacceptable. if you break your leg, keep your mouth shut long enough to get the cast on.
