China revokes credentials, expels three foreign reporters of Wall Street Journal

China revoked the press credentials of 3 journalists of the Wall Street Journal after the paper declined to apologize for a headline calling China the ’real sick man of Asia’, the foreign ministry said Wednesday (Feb 19). Deputy bureau chief, Josh Chin and reporters Chao Deng and Philip Wen were ordered to leave China within 5 days. The Foreign Correspondents’ Club of China condemned the move.

Yet Bloomberg news is allowed to stay, because “it’s not a dictatorship” and Michael Bloomberg accepts state censorship. Kudos to the journalists who manage to keep their integrity while Bloomberg et al sell their souls for profit.
