New research suggests methane emissions being pushed up by fossil fuel industry

A new research has claimed that oil and gas production might be responsible for a larger share of increasing methane levels in the atmosphere than previously thought. The research, which was published in Nature, an important academic journal, has put added pressure on the fossil fuel industry to rein in methane emissions.
