Coronavirus outbreak ’most pressing uncertainty’ for global economy: IMF chief

IMF head Kristalina Georgieva said that the coronavirus outbreak remains the most pressing uncertainty for global economy that was already under pressure from a global trade war and Brexit. She hoped that the economic hit from the epidemic in China will be short-lived, however, warned that a long lasting outbreak could result in a protracted slowdown in China with spill over effects for the world.
