IRS sues Facebook for $9B for offshoring profits to Ireland

Internal Revenue Service brought a lawsuit against the world’s largest social media company, alleging that it owes more than $9 billion after shifting its profits to Ireland. The IRS argues that Facebook understated the value of the intellectual property it sold to an Irish subsidiary in 2010 while building out global operations.

I still hate the IRS. Wouldn't need it in the first place if we made our tax laws simple percentages and simple deductions for loss in any given year. No more tax brackets. No "loopholes" because the rules would be so simple there can't be loopholes.

Sounds about right, now do the same with Amazon and get that money back to where it belongs. The people of the US.

So what? The corruptor in chief says Facebook did nothing wrong. Until the US does something about the criminality in the Oval Office the government has no legal authority on anything anymore.
