WaPo criticized for op ed: ’give elites a bigger say in choosing the president’

Following a backlash, the Washington Post edited the headline of an op-ed that read, ’It’s time to give the elites a bigger say in choosing the president’. The author, Marquette University professor Julia Azari, argues that the Democratic party’s primary process is overly-complicated, and ’a better primary system would empower elites to bargain and make decisions, instructed by voters’.

So what exactly is an "elite"? I mean is it the winner of a " battle royal" or something? Is it Hollywood or Athletes? Could be the rich and powerful? Or is it whoever the MSM decides it is. Total hogwash.

These are also the same people calling for the end of the electoral college because it’s “undemocratic”. These are also the same people saying the nominee with the most delegates shouldn’t win the Democratic nomination. These are also the same people who run their primary process like the electoral college i.e. different states being allocated different numbers of delegates and not a pure 1:1 democratic vote. Seeing a trend yet? Liberals are mentally ill hypocrites hungry for power.

Makes sense that WaPo would write this since it is owned and controlled by the Allmighty Oligarch Jeff Bezos. It is only natural for them to want Bezos to not only control the flow of capital, but also the regulation of capital as well. Isn't democracy fantastic?

elites ALREADY pick presidents. that's the PROBLEM. we don't need special electors and delegates, we need to hear from the PEOPLE.
