Apple may allow users to set their own default apps

Apple is considering allowing users to set third-party apps as the iPhone and iPad’s default web browsers and email clients. The company is also reportedly working on allowing third-party music services like Spotify to run directly on its HomePod smart speaker. This comes on the sidelines of increased antitrust scrutiny the company is facing.
