US, UK blame Russia for massive Georgia cyber-attack

The US has blamed Russia for a cyberattack against Georgia in October that disrupted operations of the Georgian government and privately-run websites and interrupted the broadcast of at least two major television stations. ’The United States calls on Russia to cease this behavior’, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement. The attack was also condemned by the UK.

I'm sure United States would love to retaliate but if you actually look at the Russian infrastructure trying to hack it could only improve it. Russia being a country that supplies or tries to supply natural gas to the entire EU actually has people in villages burning firewood for heat during the winter barely 100 km outside of Moscow... and it gets progressively worse from there... the only way to really hurt Russia, where a hacking retaliation would really hurt, is to hack local factories and distilleries producing vodka.
