Roger Stone sentenced to prison

US District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson sentenced Roger Stone to 40 months in prison on Thursday for lying to Congress and tampering with a witness. ’He was prosecuted for covering up for the president’, the judge said on the sentencing. However, the sentence has been suspended pending a ruling on a request by Stone for a new trial on the grounds of alleged misconduct by a juror.

How come it's a crime to lie to congress but congressman/senators can openly and blatantly lie on the floor without repercussions? If stone is being done for it, Schiff should be too, anyone can see he lied about what was on the transcript.

Should've just pardoned him in the first place, I don't know what this circus was for. At least it got the head juror exposed as a democrat who had called for Trump's impeachment and the arrest of those close to him and lied about it.

So he's guilty of covering up something that never happened? Justice in 2020. I hope Trump pardons him.

So, Donald Trump's "decrying" about Stone's sentencing, despite that Roger's spending half of what he could have been sentenced to? The judge gave Trump a favor!
