Pedestrians in Chinatown, NYC wear face masks to prevent coronavirus spread

As fears of Coronavirus loom across the globe, pedestrians in Chinatown have started wearing face masks as a prevention measure in New York City. Coronavirus, or COVID-19, as it is now known, is believed to have originated from China’s Hubei province. The province announced an additional 242 new deaths due to the disease.

so? lots of people wear these mask, they even wore them regularly in mainland, Japan, even In toronto where i live wear masks even before the outbreak.

they actually wear them so as not infect others. they masks actually work better for that than blocking particles from the outside.
