Woman allegedly kidnapped, forced to watch ’Roots’ to ’understand her racism’

Robert Lee Noye was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a woman and forcing her to watch the 1977 miniseries ’Roots’. Noye is accused of abducting a woman and forcing her to watch the nine-hour miniseries ’so she could better understand her racism’. When she tried to move, Noye told her to ’remain seated or he would kill her and spread her body parts across the interstate on the way to Chicago’.

"A 37-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter were found crying inside, police said." No mention of the race. Most likely white because of, "Understand her racism." and, "Check your white privilege." one of the articles said. This makes it a hate crime. Or does racism only work one way? Fucking hypocrites.

Sounds like a crime targeting a person for their race. A hate crime, if you will.

This is how crazy the MSM has made people. Racism and Nazis are NOT around every corner and you are NOT a victim.

At least he didn't force the women to watch Mandingo or the story could have had a way different outcome.

I CONSTANTLY see people reporting their sources on here as "center" when it's CNN or MSNBC(gimme a f'kn break), but 'The Hill', is reported as "left wing"? 'The Hill' is a legit Center source. The may be center-left, just like Politico, but they are both a usually, fair & reasonable source of news. They certainly aren't suffering from TDS like NYT & the lot!

Roots was a mini series on network TV (back when that was it) and I watched it. Here's what I understood: slavery is bad. I didn't learn anything about any sort of white privilege and it wasn't the message of the show! They only wanted to show us about the history of slavery. I think the nutjobs of today don't understand that.

How the hell does Roots, a good show by the way, let someone understand a racism that doesn't exist?

The saddest thing here is this guy felt that the fictional ministries roots was an actual valid historical document. Even the author admitted years after the publication that all parts of it where based off of family history and that he could provide exact documentation as to the historicity of most of not all the cloaks present in the film
