UN: 100,000 civilians casualties in Afghanistan in 10 years

A UN report says more than 100,000 civilians were killed or hurt in the last 10 years in Afghanistan, with more than 10,000 of those reported in 2019. Last year was the sixth consecutive year that civilian casualties have topped 10,000. However, the figures marked a 5% drop compared to 2018. The drop was attributed to a reduction in casualties inflicted by the ISIS affiliate.
