Italian towns on lockdown after first death from coronavirus

A first death from coronavirus has prompted a lockdown of 10 northern towns in Italy. A 78-year-old man died of COVID-19 in the northern city of Padua. The number of confirmed cases stands at 20. In an attempt to contain the disease, officials have asked more than 50,000 residents in 10 small towns to stay at home and ordered the closing of schools, bars and other public spaces.
