Google warns users against installing Chrome extensions on Edge browser

Google tells Edge users they should switch to Chrome for more security. Chrome Web Store is showing Edge users a banner to install Chrome. Apparently, users on other Chromium-based browsers aren’t being warned.

Google telling people to use their products for security reasons is about as trustful as asking a snake oil salesmen if I really need their product....

Google's motto used to be "Do No Evil". Over time they dropped this motto as they capitulated in things like The Great Firewall of China, eventually leading to censored search results here at home. I think it's time for Google to officially take up a new motto: "Be Evil."
