India, US struggle to reach trade deal before Trump’s visit

Despite the spectacle that the Trump’s two-day India visit is expected to generate, a long anticipated trade deal between the nations is unlikely to be signed during the trip, despite a lot of pressure from both the sides to clinch it. Due to unresolved disagreements over price of several items and tariff issues, a US-India trade pact is still months away, barring some last-minute dramatics.

Ugh... We need reciprocal trade agreements. Calculate the average total rate and relative percentage levied on total trade with a given country and respond in kind. The moment a nation makes it harder for American businesses to have a level playing field with locals should be the day their country feels the financial pain.

As the US slowly decouples from China, trade with India will definitely increase. Wonder how the global shipping/logistics companies are preparing for that.

Is that an Indian or a Pakistani that Trump is shaking hands with? It's just too hard to tell, they're like the same, aren't they? 😉
