Iran lawmaker says 50 are dead from coronavirus in Qom

While officials in Iran have confirmed 12 deaths in the country to the coronavirus, a lawmaker on Monday was quoted saying that 50 people have died in the city of Qom from the virus this month. However, a Health Ministry spokesman rejected the Qom lawmaker’s claims. He, however, raised the number of confirmed cases of those infected to 61, adding that some 900 suspected cases are being tested.
