Trump says making progress on trade, arms deals with India

President Trump, on a visit to India, said on Tuesday that India will buy $3 billion worth of military equipment from the US. Trump added that the two countries were making progress on a massive trade deal, as negotiations look to iron out differences on farm goods, medical devices, digital trade and new tariffs. The deal could also include possibly a free trade agreement.

Gotta find problems with trade talks with a future world superpower amirite? Can't have the US be independent from Communist China, that'd be baaaaad!

Hard not to be Islamophobic when an outsider religion centered around a man who is a warmonger, slaver, and pedophile comes waging war in your region for 1200 years, colonizing, enslaving people, forcibly circumcising men and women as a mark of slavery and subservience, and generally causing mayhem. It's also a pretty big event that Indians are welcoming Trump given how USA, alongside UK and other Western powers, officially supported Pakistan during its genocide of Hindus and Buddhists in 1971, though I doubt John Oliver would mention that little footnote stamped on his asshole.

While we’re on this topic, India is kind of an emerging market in the arms industry. In the last few years they bought a few of the su-57s from Russia (if memory serves) and were attempting to buy more 5th gen fighters...which we as a country also produce. Also the f35 has hit production numbers of like 350 or so I think and the su57 is still at 11 units total in a prototype phase. Therefore it’s in both countries interests to discuss possible arms deals. I don’t see the controversy in this aspect at all
