Intuit buys Credit Karma for $7.1 billion

Fintech company Intuit has agreed to acquire Credit Karma for approximately $7.1 billion in cash and stocks. Intuit (INTU) is the maker of software including TurboTax, QuickBooks and Mint. Credit Karma, founded in 2007, provides credit score monitoring for consumers besides acting as a robo-advisory platform. The company made nearly $1 billion in unaudited revenue during calendar year 2019.
