Supreme Court rules Mexican parents can’t sue Border Patrol agent

The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 Tuesday in favor of a Border Patrol agent who faced a lawsuit from parents of a Mexican child he killed in a June 2010 cross-border shooting. The court’s five justices held that the parents could not use American courts to sue patrol agent Jesus Mesa Jr., who killed their unarmed 15-year-old son in 2010. Mesa was on US soil in Texas when he fired the fatal shot.

Imagine the well-justified outrage if a Canadian border patrol shot an American child and there was no sanction and he was given immunity from lawsuits.

Well, the murderer Anne Sacoolas, wife to a US ambassador in the UK, ran down Harry Dunn on his motorcycle while travelling down the wrong side of the road... And Trump gave her complete immunity and defended her.

A...... a guy, no, a kid, died. Why is there no punishment for that, this is a disgrace.

That’s almost like what happened in Bolivia. Police in Bolivia committing acts of terror against the indigenous population get a free pass from the government and can’t be sued or convicted

Cops shoot and kill Americans for stupid shit like this all the time and don't have to pay a price for it. So I'm not surprised by this ruling. Plus, this cop claimed self defense because the kid was throwing rocks. Don't know if I believe that, or even if that is enough to justify the shooting. Anyway, stay away from our border. Some of our cops are trigger happy and will kill if provoked.
