Disney CEO Bob Iger steps down to oversee content drive

Disney CEO Bob Iger has stepped down with immediate effect. The 69-year old, who’s been at the helm for nearly 15 years, is credited with steering a massive expansion of the company’s entertainment interests. Iger will be replaced by Bob Chapek, the chairman of Disney’s parks, experiences and products business. Iger would remain executive chairman until the conclusion of his contract.
