Iran’s vice president Masoumeh Ebtekar diagnosed with coronavirus

Masoumeh Ebtekar, Iran’s vice president for women and family affairs, has been diagnosed with the coronavirus. Reports about her illness come two days after Iraj Harirchi, the official who was tasked with tackling the outbreak in Iran, also tested positive. Iran has the highest number of COVID-19 deaths outside China. At least 26 people have died and there have been 254 confirmed cases.
