Second Iranian minister diagnosed with COVID-19; 34 deaths recorded

Masoumeh Ebtekar, the VP for women and family affairs in Iran, is the latest high-profile figure in the country to have been infected by the COVID-19. Ebtekar is said to be suffering from mild symptoms. Earlier this week, Iran’s deputy health minister Iraj Harirchi was confirmed to be diagnosed with the virus. The country, on Friday, reported eight new deaths, taking its overall toll to 34.
