1 persons bad behavior doesn't excuse anothers. The man probably shouldn't have used that word, but he definitely didn't deserve a death sentence over it.

Well he deserves it (the manslaughter charge) because he couldn't keep his anger in check over a word... (I don't agree with the use of the word) oh how society has geared us to think with our hearts/fist instead of our minds/reason

That's because the left teaches words are violence. He felt justified to use violence against violence. Except words are just words. If you can't except insults or rejection good luck with real life.

What ever happened to the old saying "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me". People are so sensitive these days. Words only have power if you give them power.

This is the perfect case of two wrongs don't make a right. I don't care what the old man said, however offensive or hurtful it was, it does not justify punching him in the face.

Freedom of Speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences. Rot in hell old man

Not the first time some shop employee had imagined he heard something he didn’t like and used it as an excuse to physically attack a customer.

If you view other people as subhuman and tell them as much, don’t be surprised when you get what you deserve.

This was a reaction to a racists rant! I say...”the 77 year old deserves his arse punched.” Nah...the sidasity of white people always expecting black people to be the “bigger person, when it comes to being abuse by these vile racists is beyond the pale.

This goes to show that you do have a freedom of speech. Just be prepared for the consequences of your speech. Doing the "christian" thing and turning the cheek doesn't work for everyone. S/N: If you know you're going to say something to someone, atleast be able to defend yourself. Not everyone like to talk with words. And just because they are in a work uniform doesn't make you better than them. He/she was a human before they stepped in that uniform, treat them that way and you will get the same. I'm not siding with the victim or perpetrator, I'm siding with "watch yo mouth".

Just why? Why punch a 77 year old? If it’s going down, just restrain the old fella. Jesus.
