Supreme Court to hear high-stakes abortion case

The US Supreme Court is expected to hear a crucial case this week which is expected to influence the future of abortion in the country. At issue (Case: June Medical Services v Russo) is a state law in Louisiana which requires doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital. A ruling in the case is expected in June.

okay... so in order to perform a procedure that terminates a life and could accidentally harm the mother, they want doctors that are registered with hospitals as valid practitioners. sounds like a layer of safety for the mother to me, but then again I'm not exactly a fan of the overuse of this procedure either. 1 million dead babies a year isn't "rare".

Margaret Sanger often gave speeches at KKK meetings she went on to found Planned Parenthood in the hopes of "Exterminating the Negro population" (her words) So no one would be suspicious of this plan she purposely put women of color into prominent positions in the business to make it seem like she was a champion of women and blacks rights. Because of Margret's plans today 3/4 of Planned Parenthoods are in low income areas and as a black person in inner cities in todays society you have a 50/50 chance of being born as you do aborted, in places like chicago that number is 70/30. Many black patients are eligible for free or very low cost abortions. Edit: 60million babies have died since 1980's more than Nazi Fascism and Communism combined. people on the far left say they want to stop another holocaust from happening but they fail to see the on occuring right before there eyes.

“It’s a women’s health issue.” That is what we are always told, let’s see how concerned they really are for women’s health. A doctor with admitting privileges sounds like a healthy, safe idea.

Good. It would be best if abortion were at the very least restricted to rare circumstances such as rape or incest or if the life of the mother and/or baby is at serious risk. Abortion on demand should never have been legal.

Women should have the self-control to keep their legs closed if they would rather pursue a career or education than raise a family. When a man lacks self-control and impregnates a woman, society holds him responsible for child support, women should be treated no differently.

Why was abortion not left to the states to figure out? What was the rationale to make it a federal issue?

There is a bunch of ways available out there to NOT get pregnant, use them, or keep your legs closed, if you do, no abortion after 6 weeks, give it up for adoption, there are plenty of people who want kids that actually can't have them! abortion is murder, plain and simple

I think the media is making something out of nothing here. all I'm getting is that a doctor has to be a doctor in order to do something a doctor should be doing.

This shouldn't be a federal government issue. It should be left up to the people to decide what they do with their own child. At least let the states decide their own laws about it, there is no need for the federal government to be involved in a moral choice between a woman, a man, and a developing fetus.

"My body my choice" is like owning a house. If you own your house, yes you make the rules, but it still doesn't give you the right to kill someone living in it.

Republicans support the most intrusive and BIG GOVERNMENT plan in US history. Forced birth. I thought Republicans hated government getting involved in peoples lives. What is more involved than this? It's not even an option of give birth or go to jail just,YOU WILL GIVE BIRTH, whatever happens after that though you are on your own 🤸‍♂️

Here we go again...dems only fighting against bureaucracy when it comes to abortion and suppressing children’s hormones - this should be the least of their concerns.

Should be able to give post-natal abortions up to the age of 30. The "I brought you into this world, I can take you out of it" act.

abortion is one of the safest medical procedures there is. the purpose of this is to reduce access, no doubt. they try to do stuff like this to shut down abortion clinics.

This is so fucking stupid. Everyone is entitled to do whatever they want with their own body. A fetus has no privilege being inside a woman. It's this amazing thing called "bodily autonomy." pRoLiFe, more like grow the fuck up and shut the fuck up.

"A bitter debate and a feminine fate lay in tandem like two precious babes. while the former gets warmer, it's the latter that matters, except on the nations airwaves. now custodians of public opinion stay back after vainly discussing her rights. lay hands off her body, it's not your fucking life!" - Dr. Greg Graffin
