I'm interested to see where this goes. Are they going to force policy change and pull biased rules off the site?

"It's a private business so they can do whatever they want" - Leftists before these news

This amuses me deeply to see Leftists getting a taste of their own. But I heard it was a billionaire Republican that did this, not a hedge fund.

I read that it was a conservative group not necessarily pro-Trump.

I don't want to see things "reversed" so much as get rid of the idea that some opinions are more valid than others. Eh, not "valid" but okay to say. The right words are eluding me right now. I want to see free discussion. I'd only stop with threats against others. And maybe doxing, but mostly because a family can be harmed due to the actions of an individual.

So a hedge fund in buying stocks and the only surprising thing is the hedge funder likes Trump. What makes this so news worthy?

I thought the original decision to ban all political advertising was very smart. Notice it was *all*. If the founder wants to make that decision and the board are happy with it then leave it be. Conservatives are rattled & annoyed by it because Twitter is, clearly, very much part of their strategy. Well, tough. Go found your own social media platform where you make the rules. This guy has a 4% stake, methinks he'll need to buy a hell of a lot more than that if he's gonna succeed in ousting the current management. 4% don't buy you shit.
