Russia’s highest volcano erupts in Kamchatka, creates 20,000 foot ash clouds

Klyuchevskoy, the highest volcano of Russia erupted on Monday, sending ash and steam in a volcanic cloud nearly 20,000 feet up into the air. The Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Team reported that the volcano was undergoing a ’moderate explosive eruption’ and explosions of ash between 16-23,000 feet could ’occur at any time’.
