The constitutional court of Poland deferred issuing its ruling on whether judicial appointments made recently under regulations introduced by the right wing government are legitimate. The Constitutional Tribunal was asked to decide whether the appointments were lawful or not. The Tribunal is also reportedly weighing of the president had full power to put judges on the bench across the nation.
