Egypt sentences 37 to death including top ISIS leader

An Egyptian court sentenced to death 37 people following their conviction of terrorism-related charges. Those receiving the death penalty include Hisham el-Ashmawi, the founder of Ansar Beit al-Maqdis. The court also gave life sentences to 61 defendants. The defendants were charged with belonging to a local affiliate of the ISIS and carrying out 50 attacks that included killing of police officers.

I don’t care who they were but I don’t think they deserve the death sentence. Why is the government allowed to take someone’s life? Just put them in prison or something.
