US Supreme Court gives states latitude to prosecute illegal immigrants

The US Supreme Court Tuesday widened the ability of states to prosecute illegal immigrants, in ruling against 3 Kansas men convicted of using other people’s Social Security numbers to get jobs. The 5-4 ruling, rejected contentions that Kansas had intruded on the domain of the federal govt by prosecuting the men for identity theft. The ruling reversed a decision of the Kansas Supreme Court.

That ridiculous minority opinion... States are expected to comply with federal labor law, health and safety, etc. but they can't verify if an employee is legally able to the tasks states are forced to comply with? Sotomayor, Ginsburg, and the rest are off their tree.
