Pierce Bush is first Bush to lose Texas race in over 40 years

Republican, and grandson of ex-President George HW Bush, Pierce Bush, 34, became the first member of his family to lose a Texas race in over 40 years. In Texas’ 22nd Congressional District, Bush garnered roughly 15% of the votes in the Republican primary, while two other Republicans, Troy Nehls and Kathaleen Wall, will be headed to a runoff for the party’s nomination, which will occur on March 26.
