Rape. I really think the word they're looking for here is rape.

Why can’t the media get this correct?! It’s not “having sex with students”. It’s “ raping children”. This woman is a child predator.

Are the media just covering this more, or are there more women having sex with students@

Why is this not being called rape. If this was a man doing this to school girls it would be called rape.

Yeah, why is she only getting four years?

This is rape. She was a special education teacher and what she did is rape. And she apparently didn't try very hard to hide what she was doing. *FTA* Kathryn Houghtaling, 26 at the time, sexually assaulted two students,16 and 17, when working as a special education teacher at Rochester High School The Michigan teacher had sex with the students, at least one time in a car while other students watched, and another time in one of the victim's homes

gotta love the double standard here and the softball sentance too. 4 years for statutory rape of not 1, but 2 students? what a crock of shit.

Four years, huh? A gynocentric society, indeed.

Max of 15 years (probably less than 10) for multiple rapes, drugging students and manipulating her role as a teacher. Male privledge amirite?

Female privilege in full effect. Didn't someone just get more for burning a flag?

So this child predator only gets ~5 - 15 years for raping a couple special needs kids... Prison should be fun for her.

if it was a man he would have gotten 10, 20+ years and the rest of his entire life ruined. She did not have sex with children, an adult cannot have sex with a child they can only rape a child but I guess because she's a woman it's just "sex"

A special education teacher who drugged the kids with xanax and gave them booze before raping them... and she gets 4 years... not four for each victim, four total... Did she slip the judge some happy pills too or something?

As a teacher myself I find this disgusting.

Seems this scenario of a female teacher raping students is far more common than you'd think if you listened to The Police https://youtu.be/KNIZofPB8ZM

seeing people asking why this isn't called rape. One person going around that this isn't "technically rape" because that involves forced penetration. While, that may be true; don't know if it's a federal legal definition or state level one. the head lines for the articles claims she had sex with them, so not just molestation.
