High-speed train derails in France

A high-speed train running between Strasbourg in eastern France and Paris derailed on Thursday. The driver of the train was seriously hurt, while 20 other passengers were reported injured. The train was travelling at 270 km/h (170 mph) when it was derailed by an embankment collapse that damaged the tracks near Saverne.
