Investigation into war crimes in Afghanistan can proceed, rules ICC

The International Criminal Court (ICC) ruled on Thursday that an investigation into alleged war crimes committed in Afghanistan by the Taliban, Afghan military and US forces may proceed. This opens the doors for the launch of full investigation by prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, despite U.S. government opposition.

International Law is a set of inconsistently enforced guidelines approved by unelected bureaucrats. The ICC has no legitimacy. It is free to examine all it wants but this is an academic exercise not a legal one.

Little late now. isn't Cheyney dead by now? I know a couple of the others in charge are. Mr. Cheyney's patsy, G.W. himself is still around, but he just always seemed like the gullible fool who had no idea he was getting bad info. I was thinking of Iraq, but Afghanistan was nearly as bad. We went I'm & stole their oil & poppy fields too!
