Coronavirus ’threatens the right to education’, says UNESCO

The UN estimates that nearly 300 million worldwide will miss school over the coming weeks as governments shut down schools in a bid to contain the coronavirus. The UNESCO chief warned the ’global scale and speed of the current educational disruption is unparalleled and, if prolonged, could threaten the right to education’.

There is no right to education. it is provided by those willing, it is a sorely undervalued gift in hopes of a better future.

Well thank goodness for the UN telling us that the panic over the Wuhan Flu is overblown. I mean, why would they worry about education if the issue was a matter of life or death?
