Technology researchers found another security flaw in Intel’s chips that opens encrypted data to hackers who can then gain access to everything on the board. Intel says it can’t offer a permanent fix. Recommendations include having devices inspected for signs of intrusion and replacing either the chip or the entire device. Meanwhile, law enforcement challenges digital privacy by demanding access.
Bet AMDs stock price isn't doing too badly right about now.
Everyone wanted to rip on AMD for years, turns out Intel made a lot of shortcuts and poor design decisions and AMD took the time to do it right. Glad I built my machine with 0 SIntel.
Positive Technologies, the best name for those delivering the best tech investigation updates 😂
AMD all the way
hmm looks like it's a good thing I didn't upgrade recently lol
I'd bet the NSA worked to get this into the Intel platform and it was not intended to be discovered. Like the SSL "bug" that allowed the NSA to access every single file and message encrypted with SSL, this "bug" would allow the NSA to essentially take over any computer built with an Intel chipset.
