Amtrak suspends Acela train service between NYC, Washington

Amtrak is canceling its high-speed Acela nonstop service between Washington and New York through late May. This comes as consumer demand weakens amid concern over the coronavirus outbreak. The service will be suspended between March 10 and May 26. Amtrak has also waived change fees on all existing or new reservations made before April 30.

This was money-saving decision, not to stop spread of virus. Also, there never has been non-stop service NY-DC. Acela always stops in Phila, Balt and I'm pretty sure elsewhere.
