Saudi Arabia detains two senior royals on alleged coup attempt

Saudi Arabia detained two senior members of the Saudi royal family. These include Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, the younger brother of King Salman, and Mohammed bin Nayef, the king’s nephew. The Wall Street Journal said the detentions related to an alleged coup attempt. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, King Salman’s son, has previously moved to consolidate power since 2017 after ousting his cousin.
