Oil prices plunge 25 percent

Oil prices plunge 25 percent

Oil futures dropped to their lowest since 2016 after Saudi Arabia slashed its official selling price, signaling the start of a price war after OPEC talks with Russia failed to produce an agreement on production cuts. On Friday, Russia refused OPEC’s proposed production cuts to stabilize prices and OPEC responded by removing limits on its production.

What's interesting is we import the least amount of our oil used in the US from the Middle East. Side note, people thought we went to war in the Middle East to secure more oil. Wrong, we went to secure the price of oil.

Keep in mind that the last 40-50 years of foreign policy has basically just been this conflict between Russia and KSA and their competition over oil markets. How many people dead in ME wars and conflict because of this is disgusting.

it's so good dad to me that we now leave oil sands like the ones in Alberta untouched. I remember when things were booming, and then the NDP took over.
