Coronavirus: Japan prepares to alter law to allow PM to declare emergency

Japan is set this week to revise a law allowing PM Shinzo Abe to declare a state of emergency over the coronavirus, if needed. Japan has more than 1,200 coronavirus cases including about 700 from a cruise ship. Sixteen people have died, including seven from the liner. Abe has come under fire for what critics have called an initial lack of leadership, followed by abrupt steps like school closures.
