US urges elderly to stock up on food, stay home amid coronavirus fears

US health authorities on Monday urged elderly Americans and people with underlying health conditions to stock up on food and prepare to isolate themselves at home since they are the most at risk of getting seriously ill from the coronavirus. The advice is part of new recommendations from the CDC and stems partly from a new study of 70,000 Chinese patients with the virus.

Stock up and avoid crowds in poorly ventilated areas is good advise for everyone. Also, check on you parents and grandparents, and make sure they have what they need. You can not depend on social workers to do it for you.

As of yesterday I believe 22 deaths in the US. The US has between 12000 and 61000 deaths from the flu each year. I am still not sure why all the panic to be honest.
