Deaths from COVID-19 near 4,300; Cases in Italy surge

There are now 119,239 cases of COVID-19 and 4,285 deaths, according to the most recent data. Beyond China, Italy remains the worst affected country having recorded 10,149 cases with 631 deaths. The country remains in lockdown. Tuesday also saw the cases in the US spike beyond the 1000 mark with 31 recorded deaths. As per records from the US CDC, only about 6500 tests were conducted across states.
